Exhibits and audio/video stations provide information about the United States Mint and its history, coinage and current programs. Visitors can see actual coin production.  from an enclosed gallery which can accommodate up to 2,500 visitors an hour. The mint also exhibits historic artifacts, coins and medals detailing the evolution of American currency. Self  public tours Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm. The United States Mint is closed on Federal Holidays. All tours are free and self-guided; no reservations are necessary. The tour takes about 45 minutes.
